    What Is The Green Home Grant Scheme?

    The Green Home Grant Scheme is available to anyone in the U.K that is a homeowner or residential landlord and offers funding towards making your home more energy-efficient. Having a more energy-efficient home comes with benefits, not only will you reduce your energy bills, but you’ll also reduce the carbon emissions created by your heating.

    Covers up to a ⅓ of your energy home improvements​?

    (Covers up to 100% of the cost for residents that receive financial support).

    Up to £5,000 contribution

    (Covers up to £10,000 for households for residents that receive financial support).

    Covers labour, VAT and materials

    What The Voucher Can Be Used For ?

    Primary Measures

    At least one primary measure must be included to redeem the voucher. 

    Secondary Measures

    A secondary measure can be introduced to voucher redemptions.

    Windows, doors, insulation and draught proofing

    Heating controls and insulation

    Who’s Eligible?

    You’re a homeowner

    A landlord who owns a property that is privately rented or social rented.

    You own a park home on a residential site

    How To Join The Scheme?

    1

    Decide what improvements you need.

    2

    Get quotes from a range of certified installers for all improvements (one has to be certified with the Green Home Grant Scheme.)

    Provide your quote when you register to the scheme.

    You will receive a voucher for each improvement (e.g 1 voucher for low carbon heat and 1 voucher for double glazing).

    Once the voucher has arrived, the installer can begin work.

    The installer will need to give you a dated copy of your invoice per installation, a certification of energy efficiency improvements measures, a guarantee document, MCS certificate and manufacturer instructions, plus a Biomass Supplier List.

    When your voucher is accepted the grant will be paid directly to the installer.
